Classifieds and free classifieds sites are another way to increase your page rank through an SEO campaign. With millions of ads posted daily to these sites, they are frequently updated and scanned regularly by the search engines. The search engines reward fresh, dynamic content with higher rankings. Many times these classifieds site swill also have a high page ranking themselves as they are frequently trafficked or linked to top level media domains such as newspapers. The classifieds are a great way to post announcements, sales, promotions, and links to your web site for free. You can build a list of the best free classified sites, such as the various Craig’s lists, or newspaper sites in your region. Post links that lead directly to your site, or affiliate program, to build traffic to your web site from a free classified site with a large community user base.

Another possibility is to host your own free classifieds and give the users on your web site the chance to post their items for sale. You can analyze the user community and see what type of a need or demand there is for a classifieds section. Open source software such as Noah’s Classifieds can be added and themed to match your site’s lay out and design. As before, having active, fresh, dynamically updated on your web site will attract more users as well as higher search engine rankings. Adding free classifieds to your site can also be done in a way that they are specialized and only list what your keyword or niche market represents. You can specialize and attract the type of customers that are active in that particular niche. Get list of classified website with high page rank at http://www.tipscollections.com. Get Indexed Fast

What does getting indexed mean?

The search engines keep a cache of every web page in their
index.

In English, this means: The search engines make a copy of
every web page they visit and put in their records… ummm, I
think that’s what I mean.

When you use a search engine the results list relevant
pages to your search, usually ten results per page.

Each result includes a live “link” to the page, and a
“cache” or “snap-shot” of the page, recorded the last time
the spider visited that page, at some time in the past.

If you wish to get a website indexed, first you must have a
website… preferably a real one that you own, not a “free”
website a’ la Geocities etc.

It only costs about $8 to register a domain name, and about
$5 a month for cheap hosting, while $10 a month will get
you very good quality hosting.

To get indexed fast, I recommend you start a blog on your
site. This can be with any blog software, but I think that
WordPress is the best…

If you get good quality hosting, it will include cPanel and
Fantastico scripts. In fantastico scripts are about 50
scripts you can automatically install on your server with
one click… and WordPress is one of them. The alternative
is to manually install wordpress yourself.

Once you have built the basic barebones website (Main page,
½ a dozen content pages, and a sitemap linking them
together, it’s time to get indexed in the search engines.

You can “submit” your site to the search engines if you
wish, but that is too slow.

Here’s where the blog comes into play… post articles or
messages to your blog on a daily basis, and don’t miss a
day for the first few weeks at least. The posts must be
interesting, and relevant to your site.

Configure your blog to automaticlly “ping” the blog
directories every time you publish a new post.

Here’s what…

The biggest problem that most are running into seems to do with getting INTO the search engines. Rankings aside, you need to first get them to index you. Here are the four main ways to assure yourself fast indexing:

Indexing Tip #1:
Never launch a new site with a lot of back links. Build natural links over weeks and months.

Let’s face it, there is no guaranteed method of getting indexed by Google fast, and buying links from high-ranking sites does not guarantees anything either.

The most immediate red flag you should watch out for is your number of incoming links. According to Google, it takes time to get link popularity and sites should not have more than 100 incoming links.

It’s okay to launch with a quality link or two. But beyond that, you are pushing it!

Here is the scoop! It takes 30-45 days for Google to deep index new sites. Instead of sitting around during “sandbox” time, use that period to build a strong set of natural back-links with a variety of sites.

Indexing Tip #2:
Register your domain name at least four months before you plan to launch the site.

No I am not kidding! Whether you agree with it or not, history shows that Google takes older URLs far more seriously than newer ones. So register your domain name as soon as you plan on developing a site.

Indexing Tip #3:
Blog and ping carefully.

Blogging & pinging is one of the fastest ways to get into the Yahoo index - it can literally get you into Yahoo overnight - helps with MSN as well.

Will blogging and pinging help get you into Google? Maybe. But over-pinging can set off red flags on the ping servers, and if you’re using automated blogging software, overdoing it can cause Blogger.com and other services to shut down your blog.
