4. Footer Spot
Header Spot
Header Spot is on your top area of your blog. This area usually fill with banner, blog menu, blog slogan, blog title and etc. On this area, possible text or image ads you can fill is leaderboard ads, banner ads, half banner ads. If you force to fill another type of ads format, you have to adjust more to make your header area look neat.
Sidebar Spot
Sidebar is an area to place widget. In different themes, sidebar can be placed on left or right even both between post area. With sidebar you can put widget like recent post, category, archive, pages or blogroll. What kind of ads format best to put in sidebar? There are few ads format can be placed on sidebar, you can put text or image ads on this spot such as button, half banner, skyscraper, wide skyscraper, small rectangle, medium rectangle, vertical banner, small square or square.

Post spot is your post area that can be used for text ads, image ads, presell affiliate post, blog review post, product review post, program review post and much more.
Footer Spot
Footer spot are similar with header spot. The different between header spot is footer spot not only can be placed text or image ads, but you may also add Text Link Ads on this spot to make more money. On this spot, possible text or image ads you can fill is leaderboard ads, banner ads, half banner ads.
My advice for your ads color and format is “Blend it with your background and make it natural or Make it eye catching with dazzle color”.
